President Trump has sentencing the sentence of top political donor Imaad Zuberi, who was sentenced to 12 years in 2021 after making illegal campaign donations to former President Biden and Senator Lindsey Graham (RSS.C.).

A White House official confirmed Trump’s verdict on Hill Sisters’ Network News on Wednesday.

Zuberi pleaded guilty in 2019 and 2020 to evade taxes, lobbying senior U.S. officials in their roles as foreign agents, running for financial violations and obstructing justice. In addition to a 12-year prison sentence, U.S. District Judge Virginia Phillips ordered Zuberi to pay nearly $16 million in damages and nearly $2 million in fines.

Zubery previously told Phillips: “I am deeply sorry, and of course humiliating.” “I have no excuse for everything I have done for myself.”

Zuberi has also been accused of meetings with us and foreign politicians and behind the scenes of straw donors.

“Everyone wants to come to Washington to meet people,” Zubery said in a decade-old email, trying to hold a meeting between the president and the MP.

“We have received the demands of all the mean people in the world, warlords, kings, queens, life presidents, military dictators, clan chiefs, tribal chiefs, etc.”

The New York Times had previously reported that Zubery donated more than $1.1 million in three months when Trump first ran to a committee connecting with the president and the Republican Party, after supporting former Obama president and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for the 2016 presidency.
