President Trump said Israel and Iran came to him and said, “Peace!” after he said earlier that the two countries “completely agree” on a “complete and complete ceasefire.”

“Israel and Iran came to me almost at the same time and said, ‘Peace!’ I know the time now.

“They have a lot to gain, but if they deviate from the path of justice and truth, they lose a lot. The future of Israel and Iran is infinite and full of great hope. God bless you both!

When Trump announced the parameters of a ceasefire between Israel and Iran earlier on Monday, he did not outline how the ceasefire was agreed and which countries participated in the negotiations between Israel and Iran.

Trump’s post also follows our strike against Iran after more than a week of conflict between Israel and Iran. Tensions in the Middle East were already high when the conflict broke out due to Israel’s nuclear capabilities in Gaza and Iran.

Iran said it suspended Monday’s attack on Israel, but also said it had not made a “final decision” on the ceasefire.

“As Iran repeatedly pointed out: Israel has launched a war against Iran, not the other way around,” Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said in a post on social platform X on Monday night. “As of now, there is no “agreed” to cease fire or stop military operations.”

He added: “However, the premise is that the Israeli regime has prevented the illegal aggression of the Iranian people and we have no intention of continuing our response in the future before 4 a.m. Tehran time. The final decision on the cessation of our military operations will be made later.”
