Trump in June: America has “too many non-working holidays”

President Trump said the country is losing money due to the number of federal holidays Thursday, JunteEnter, the latest member of the U.S. holiday calendar.

“In the United States, there are too many non-work holidays. This has cost our country billions of dollars to shut down all of these businesses,” the president wrote in the Truth Society Post.

He added: “The workers don’t want it either.”

Traditionally, government employees are on holidays on federal holidays while earning their salaries.

JunteEnth was created to celebrate the freedom of enslaved black Americans and was designated as a federal holiday by former President Biden.

“Low, we will be on vacation every working day of the year,” Trump wrote on Thursday.

The president did not participate in any adolescence or celebrations.

Biden held a celebration concert on the South Lawn with prominent black performers during his tenure and invited a series of elected officials to attend formal gatherings.

This year, the former president participated in the commemoration event in Galveston, Texas.
