President Trump insisted that Iran’s nuclear site had been destroyed later Sunday, leaving news in Tehran that the Fudo site had not been demolished.
The president said on the Truth Society: “As satellite images show, it has caused great damage to all nuclear sites in Iran. Plastering is an accurate term! The white structure shown is embedded deep in the rock, even its roof is far below the ground and completely shields the flames.”
“The biggest damage happens well below the ground. Bullhead!!!” he added.
Saturday’s U.S. strikes hit three Iranian nuclear sites, including the Fudo nuclear power plant in the deep mountains south of Tehran, targeting the Bunker bomb.
Trump described the bombing at the Iranian nuclear site as a “spectacular military success” on Sunday night and called on Tehran to quickly reach a peace deal while warning it would face more attacks.
Meanwhile, Reuters reported that Iranian parliament member Mohammad Manan Raisi, said the location was not seriously damaged.
United Emirates Chairman Dan “Razin” Caine told a reporter at the Pentagon on Sunday that the facility was seriously damaged and the term “forgotten” was not used.
“The ultimate combat damage will take some time, but the initial combat damage assessment shows that these three sites have suffered extremely severe losses and damage,” Kane said.
The Trump administration has said it would curb the conflict and prevent a full-scale war with Iran, but insisted that Tehran cannot possess nuclear weapons. Officials also said they hope Iran will return to the negotiating table, but there are still problems with the response on Monday morning.
