The United States criticized China after Ukraine announced it had captured two Chinese nationals to fight with the Russian army.

“It’s disturbing,” State Department spokesman Tammy Bruce said in a briefing Tuesday. “We know the reports.”

She continued: “China is Russia’s main promoter in the Ukrainian war. China provides nearly 80% of the items Russia needs to maintain the war.”

Bruce pointed out that President Trump insisted that continued cooperation between Russia and China would only further “help global turmoil.”

Her comments were posted after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced earlier in the day that the country’s military had captured two Chinese people fighting Russian troops in Ukraine.

Zelensky said people think that Chinese nationals in the Russian army are “more”.

Chinese officials did not respond immediately, but Ukrainian foreign minister requested an explanation.

The captured reported marks the latest developments in more than three years of war between Russia and Ukraine. The Trump administration is seeking to end the conflict, but so far neither country has successfully agreed to a ceasefire agreement.

This is also because Trump is imposing huge tariffs on China and as Chinese President Xi Jinping’s relationship improves relations with Russian President Vladimir Putin, calling him a true friend of the country.
