Are you excited, grannies? Check. Gender reveal? Check. Bumping and grinding on a stripper pole? Believe it or not, there’s also a check.
The baby shower for upcoming contestants Emma and Ben and past winners Steph and Gian also featured a few surprises (including Emma doing acrobatics and aerodynamics on the pole as well as some lessons for her guests).
Emma and Ben were delighted to have their mum by their side to celebrate this special occasion.
They are also excited to share their big day with Stephen and Gian, who are also expecting their first child.
Unlike Emma and Ben who already know their baby is a boy, Stephen and Gian don’t yet know the sex.
So host Shelley Craft organizes them to find out by popping a large helium balloon filled with colorful confetti.
Stephen was shocked when beige confetti rained down instead of the usual pink or blue. It was just a little joke that expressed her love for all things neutral.
When the truth is revealed, she discovers it’s a girl! happy days.
It was a much-needed bright spot for Emma and Ben, who had to face one disaster after another with their landscaping and cellar plans. The drama even wiped the smiles off their faces.
And they’re not the only ones in the doldrums.

How much does the winner of the block win and how much does the loser lose?
How much did Foreman Dan pay for The Block?
It was all too much for Can.
Over the past two weeks, Can seems to have given up on its commitment to having fun.
When judge Shaynna Blaze joined Shelley and Scott Cam for their weekly walk, she went offside by telling Can how tired she looked.
There are dark clouds hanging over Kan’s head – both figuratively and literally – as she deals with mounting bills and Han’s steadfast refusal to make things easier.
On the contrary, Han has become the little beauty in the sunshine since her father Li came to help. She even got involved in helping foreman Dan play a prank on her old man.
Han proudly declares that her father “is incredible. There’s nothing he can’t do.”
Seeing Han so happy and relaxed, Can’s pressure seemed to increase a little more.
“She’s obviously not feeling well,” Han shrugged at her frustrated partner. “She was stressed. So, she bit me.”
Host Scott Cam added fuel to Can’s fire when he called Lee the hardest worker on set.
Rather than being happy that Lee’s victory earned them five free trees, Kan was annoyed that his efforts were not recognized.
Han’s father, Li, won the hardest worker award.
“He has only been here two days. I have been in the lunatic asylum for eighty-three days, but I haven’t received any reward.” She rolled her eyes and gritted her teeth.
Teacher Li gave the girls a lot of help. Not only did he help Han relieve his burden, he also discovered a problem with the pool tiles.
It turns out the tiles the girls laid were even thinner than the tiles on the poolside. To make sure they line up evenly, they have to apply an extra layer of glue underneath the pavers to add bulk. The labor-intensive process leaves girls further behind.
To help give them a chance to finish, Foreman Dan brought in the Curcio brothers.
A tearful Taz is at a low ebb.
The Curcio Troopers are also called in to help Britt and Taz with their chimney drama.
Even though Dan submitted detailed plans during the third week and built the chimney a week before landscaping officially began, Dan simply let Taz and Britt know that it wasn’t up to code.
Increasing its height to make it compliant will only make it structurally unsound.
The only solution is to build a tall, ugly flue or knock down the entire flue. Britt and Taz opted to use a flue and hoped for the best. But they are not happy.
“Having such a big obstacle on Thursday really tested me,” Taz complained through tears.
