Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Sunday that 10 other people were sent to El Salvador under the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown.
Rubio said in an article on social platform X: “Last night, another 10 criminals from MS-13 and Tren de Aragua’s foreign terrorist group arrived in El Salvador.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has previously said that El Salvador President Nayib Bukele will travel to the White House for a “official work visit” on Monday. In the first few months of his second presidential term, the United States has sent deported immigrants to a large prison in El Salvador.
“Looking forward to meeting President Buckley of El Salvador on Monday! Our country is working closely together to eliminate terrorist organizations and build a prosperous future. President Berkeley has generously accepted custody of his country, especially the U.S. president, and in particular the U.S. president.”
“These savages are now the sole custody of a proud and sovereign state, El Salvador, whose future depends on President B and his government. They will never threaten or threaten our citizens!” the president added.
Also on Saturday, the Trump administration misdestroyed a Maryland man to El Salvador for an update provided by a court order. A federal judge ordered the White House to record a report on Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s identity on Friday
“He is still alive and safe in the facility,” State Department official Michael Kozak said in a document Saturday. “On Sunday, the Trump administration said there was no “no update” in the judge’s efforts to promote Garcia’s return.
