The country’s hottest Brisbane suburbs this week, homes with a 16-car basement garage are the country’s hottest properties, garnering more than 36,000 views online.
The sprawling home and oversized garage at Wishart 62 Norfolk PL are the most popular properties on realestate.com.au this week to Tuesday.
The basement garage is located in the six-bedroom two-bedroom, under the suspended concrete slabs of the double-living house, covering 423 m2.
There is concrete flooring on the garage, and a lot of power points can be dripped into drip charging and a lot of lighting throughout.
There is a separate workshop area with service pits and roller doors, a second workshop space, bathroom and stainless steel bench with sink – perfect for washing parts.
With plumbing already at a lower level, adding a kitchen or laundry is easy.
The interior staircase leads to the oversized three-car garage on the home and access to the grandma’s apartment and the main home.

On the marketplace through Andy Guo and Place Sunnybank’s Jess Chia, homes are being sold through expressions of interest.
“This is one of the truly unique houses,” Ms Chia said.
“This is not your typical standard Wishart House.”
Ms Chia said the huge garage not only separates the property from other properties on the market, so too is the 1600m2 block, two street access and a 1000m2 executive home with grandma Flat.
“One is used from the main roads, the other is Cul-de-sac from Norfolk PL, which is one of the best areas of Wishart,” she said.
The main house has a huge open plan living area with soaring ceilings, chef’s kitchen and master suite with luxurious suite and private patio.

The outdoor kitchen has a built-in wooden fire pizza oven, while the central courtyard has an automated electric Louvre roof for weather conditions.
Grandma’s apartment features a full kitchen, living and dining space, as well as laundry, walk-in robes and bathroom.
Ms Chia said: “Grandma’s apartment was actually built for Grandma.”
“There is not a single step in the space, it is completely wheelchair-friendly.”
Ms Chia said the property has been piqued with a range of buyers.
“The cell phone didn’t stop ringing for this,” she said.
“We’ve asked from our family and they’ve considered people running a small business from garages and car collectors.
“A potential buyer collected about 10 cars and this garage means he could take them all home.
“In the late night, he could go downstairs and work in the car instead of going to the garage on site.”
