Rep. Seth Moulton (D-Mass.) said on Monday whether President Trump wants Ukraine to win the war against Russia is an “open-ended question.”

“I think it’s still an open-ended question because – just because Donald Trump has said the right thing in the last 24 hours, that hasn’t made the last six months go away,” Moulton told Blake Burman of the News Agency on “On the Hill.”

“But listen, I’m happy with Trump’s position today. He seems to be based on politics, not on principle principles, and even if you just heard him talking about this, he’s not talking about the principle of overcoming the democratic state that murders dictators. He’s just talking about who pays.”

Trump recently said the United States would impose “serious” tariffs on Russia if the country does not cease fire with Ukraine within the next 50 days.

“We are very, very unhappy with[Russia]and if we don’t reach an agreement within 50 days, we will impose very serious tariffs.”

The president said he would impose 100% “secondary” tariffs on other countries that operate with Russia.

Trump and his administration have been working hard to end the Ukrainian war since the beginning of their second term, but have not achieved much success.

Three years ago, after Moscow established troops on the border, Russia invaded Ukraine. Trump vowed to end the war within 24 hours, and later said “ironism”.

“Trump’s newfound support for Ukraine is a huge reversal in his propaganda to pill Putin, and it should have been long overdue,” Moldon said in an article on Social Platform X Monday.

The mountain has been contacted by the White House for comment.
