A series of encryption-related kidnappings
The development comes after a similar case a week ago when a crypto millionaire’s father was kidnapped in another part of Paris while walking the dog. In this case, the kidnapped was kidnapped. After being imprisoned for three days, he was released one finger. Several people were arrested for the case.
Another striking incident happened in January when David Balland, co-founder of crypto wallet company Ledger, and his wife were taken to their home in central France, with the culprit demanding a 10 million euro ransom.
Later when they were rescued, they also found that Bao Lan was missing fingers. Around the same time, rumors spread another kidnapping involving another co-founder of Ledger, Eric Larchevêque. However, these claims were later rejected by the French media.
Authorities have not confirmed whether the incident was connected, but all victims involved have been linked to the cryptocurrency.
