“Shark Tank” star Kevin O’Leary said Elon Musk learned that Washington was “an incredibly annoying place” after completing his White House adviser.

The technology CEO leads the operations of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which is responsible for cutting federal spending and reducing government workforce.

“I learned a lesson, Elon just learned it. No one went to Washington unscathed. It was an incredibly annoying place,” O’Leary said during a Friday appearance at Fox Business.

Tesla CEO admitted while working with President Trump that he was “very difficult” in running multiple companies and was in charge of Doge.

Musk saw stocks in electric car manufacturers fall and was under public scrutiny of the sunsets of several federal agencies.

“You need thick skin, he just brought that lesson to him,” O’Leary said of Musk’s politically.

He added: “The closer you get to the sun, the more the feathers get burned.”

Musk recently said Doge was seen as a “whip-boy” in the Trump administration’s failure.

“There’s something bad happening anywhere, and even if we have nothing to do with it, we’re blamed for it,” he told the Post.

In recent days, the tech giant has shared various posts about X, blasting Trump’s spending bill and other federal policies.

He attended Trump’s press conference with his dark eyes on Friday.
