Tech billionaire Elon Musk said Saturday that he formally formed the “American Party”, the third political faction against rival Democrats and Republicans.
“For a 2-to-1 price, you want a new party, you will have a new party. When waste and grafting bankrupt our country, we live in a party system, not a democracy,” Musk wrote in an article on social platform X.
He added: “Today, the American Party was formed to restore your freedom.”
The party’s page went live shortly after his post, calling themselves a group that “built on common sense is not consultants.” It has gained 19,200 followers.
For weeks, Musk has ridiculed President Trump, threatening to form a third party before the midterm elections after the Republican spending plan was passed.
Musk opposed legislation due to the terms, which allowed consumers to earn points for electric vehicles, thus hitting his company Tesla.
“The way we want to crack unilateral systems is to leverage how epaminondas destroys Leuctra’s Spartan invincibility myth: extremely concentrated forces in precise geographical locations on the battlefield,” Musk, the main Republican donor, wrote Saturday.
Steve Bannon, a former chief strategist for Trump, suggested deportation of Musk to create a third party and slam the work on Friday.
“Foof, clown.
Bannon added: “No, brother, you’re not American. You’re South African and if we spend enough time proving the facts, we should be deported because it’s a crime for what you do,” Bannon added.
Amid the debate over the “big and beautiful bill”, Trump threatened a federal investigation into billionaire’s business through the Musk-led Department of Administration Efficiency (DOGE).
“Elon may have received more subsidies than anyone in history, and without subsidies, Elon may have to close stores and return to South Africa,” he continued. “No more rocket launches, satellites or electric vehicles are produced, and our country will save wealth.”
The president added: “Maybe we should let Doge give well, hard, look at this?
