Comedian Bill Maher declined criticism of his March White House visit and said he shared the harsh truth with President Trump at a face-to-face meeting.

In the episode of HBO’s “Real Time with Bill Maher” on Friday, he compared his one-on-one to the president’s Oval Office appearance with Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, where she competed to cover her face.

“She’s in the oval office, and I was the same a few weeks ago. That’s what she did,” Maher said as he showed a photo of Whitmer holding a folder.

He added: “Well, I think there are several ways to deal with the Oval Office. It’s not the way I chose. Don’t you want to talk to people? You don’t have the power.”

Maher said he spoke out about his concerns and encouraged others to do the same, rather than waiting for Trump’s four-year term.

“I mean, people seem to be covering up the fact that I went there, and I didn’t surrender to him,” Mach said.

He continued: “I said, of course, people don’t care. They don’t look at what I actually do. They’re just reacting to Clickbait.”

The host of the HBO show said he told Trump that he lost the 2020 presidential election and said the leader’s new policies are frightening.

“I went there and I said to him, you scared people! Why do you scare the tophers? I said to his face: ‘You ran three of the three elections, you lost the middle,’ Mach told the audience.

He added that communication is crucial to getting opinions with Republicans.

“I’m so glad to go and do that. Sit down on the table. Because you have anything else,” Maher said.

“You don’t have the strength. I mean, he means, he’s going to be there for another four years, and it’s a long time to hold his breath.”

Whitmer said she regretted trying to hide her face but was caught at this moment.

“I was asked what I was thinking at that moment, and that was ‘I don’t want to take my pictures.’ That’s all.

“I wish I didn’t put the folder in front of my face, but anyway.” “I just wrote a book about learning to laugh at myself, so I’m very good at it. We all have our moments.”
