Liccardo says Bundy’s goal of “undermining judicial prosecutors” is to “do justice”

Former prosecutor Rep. Sam Liccardo (D-Calif.) said Pam Bondi’s lawyer “undermines” the “basic work ethics” of the Justice Department, which said the Justice Department’s prosecutors aim to “do justice.”

In an interview with the News Agency’s “Hill Sunday,” host Chris Stirewalt asked California Democrats about the Justice Department’s “having off prosecutors who don’t want to accept immigration in Bundy and the Trump administration.”

Liccardo first slammed the government to expel people accused of being a gang member without giving due process, saying: “It’s not just my idea. It’s actually in the Constitution, and it’s a good idea.”

He then expressed concern about the impact of Bundy’s actions.

“As a prosecutor, unlike other attorneys, you have this opportunity, not only to serve and be loyal to that client, but actually to get justice. That’s why so many prosecutors love what they do.”

“What we see from Bondy in this administration is different from what we see in many aspects of this administration, which undermines the basic work ethics of federal prosecutors where justice is done.” “They always told the court there.

When asked what advice he would give to prosecutors who don’t know how to do their jobs, Liccardo said: “Do everything your work ethics requires you to do, what your conscience requires you to do, and at the same time, look for another job.”
