President Leanne Pilkington said the finalists of this year’s competition are very talented.

“I’m one of the judges in some categories, and it’s a very strong field because they are the best in the country, so it’s going to be very exciting to see who the winner will be that night,” she said.

“I think the field of finalists will become stronger every year, and I think it reflects competition in the industry and it’s better to stay better every year, which is really exciting.

“I’m proud of all our finalists – it’s not an easy industry and it’s not a year and they’re getting better and better.”
