“Let’s continue to explore some other issues. This is a very popular question, but how often do you send emails and when?
to Answer your question, uh, the frequency of sending once. So, this is one of the very unsatisfactory answers, right? Just like that depends. I think it depends on a lot of things. It depends on the nature of your business. I think it depends on what you expect from people. Well, so let me give you a few of my meanings there.
So the nature of your business, right? So, do I need an email every day from the corner store? Probably not. Well, but we have a tea customer who actually finds that she sends an email every day and one of the teas is really really good for them, right? You might say, “Like, I’ll never do that”, right? But this is different for different people.
I think the other thing is expectation, right? If I sign up for an email list and say you’ll get a daily prompt, then, I want you to send it to me every day, right? Because that’s what I signed.
Then, another thing to consider is, you know, interest in timing, relevance and interest and all kinds of things. So if someone is actually actively interacting with a specific product or service or something like that, you can usually think that people are interested in it at the time. So it makes sense to send them more messages about this at a higher frequency.
So, for example, I know that if you are dining and someone clicks on a link about dining, sending them some follow-up message about dining would be like, “Oh yeah, that’s cool because I’m interested in it.” Right? So I think there are a lot of variables out there, you have to play and figure out what works for you. Well, but I don’t know, David, if you have anything to add.
Yes, that’s thinking about the weekend. The vast majority of commercial emails are sent at different times of the day, and looking at the actual numbers will obviously give you instructions when it will work more for you. But we found that sending with some customers, like on Sunday nights, your open rate is very high.
Why? Especially in the B2B world, many people on Sunday night are ready for Monday, they check their emails and are in a calm mind compared to Monday morning. And, it was surprisingly surprising to receive the email at 7 o’clock on Sunday, the open rate was high.
And, well, so not only Monday to Friday, but also think outside the box.
Yes, sometimes you have to think about the opposite little bit and know who your subscriber is.
What I will share is that I saw a statistic from Worlddata the other day. 80% of all email campaigns are sent in hours, 7:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 AM. Email will be in many activities in the first 10 minutes of each hour, as many people are doing it.
So try sending something that might be 7:15 or 10:15 or 10:30 or 10:45, or something like that to see if it can help so you won’t come across with everyone else who sent the dispatch. ”
