Geelong’s latest addition to the city skyline is surprising.

Construction workers continue to build a six-story residential development at the end of Mercer St, the end of Mercer St, at the north entrance to the CBD.

The project quickly stepped down, with 60% of 37 apartments already snapped up by investment buyers, an early role in future growth floors of Geelong.

Now, opportunities are starting to open to more buyers to take advantage of the rest of the home and its secret weapon – the seaside landscape.

McGrath project director Jim Cross said the remaining apartments for sale in the project face the north and east in large part, where they provide panoramic views over Corio Bay and the center of Geelong.

Planning guidelines also protect development from infringement of views by limiting property heights close to water.

Mr. Cross described the pattern as stylish, modern coastal life, right in the heart of Geelong.

He said the York St. Address is a moment of Geelong’s waterfront and CBD that blends urban convenience with relaxing coastal charm.

The apartment starts at $575,000 and goes to a three-bedroom, two-bath penthouse for $1.65 million.

Rothelowman Architects designed the exterior of the development, which will blend rust metal finishes with sandy textured concrete.

The interior will choose between a soft grey tone or a bright wood.

Many apartments enjoy the water views, while the shared rooftop terrace provides an outdoor space for outdoor drinks and captures the landscape on Corio Bay and occupies the inflated CBD on the East Beach Sky Whell and Promenade.

The property is located not only close to the waterfront and CBD, but within walking distance of Geelong Main Railway Station and across the pedestrian bridge to the Pakington St Shopping and Restaurant Strip in Geelong West.
