Restore, repair, updatean initiative in Philadelphia City is managed by participating lenders. While not free, the program offers low-interest loans to qualifying Philadelphia homeowners to invest in their properties. Qualified improvements include replacement water heater, HVAC repair or replacementelectrical repairs and mold or lead coating treatment.

Participants first worked with registered nurses and occupational therapists. Together, they identify challenges in daily life, setting goals and developing improvement plans. Some of the participants’ self-care goals included getting mail, washing clothes, or going up and down stairs.
