Fox hosts visit Democratic delegates from El Salvador in a heated exchange: “He has nothing to do with you”

Fox News host Laura Ingraham urged Democratic Rep. Yassamin Ansari (Arizona) in a fierce exchange Tuesday that the host said Kilmar Abrego Garcia “is OK” to lawmakers.

Ansari and other House Democrats visited El Salvador to inspect Abrego Garcia shortly after joining the Ingraham Angle, a man who was wrongly expelled from Maryland and asked him to return to the United States.

Ingraham asked, “What is the point of your trip to El Salvador? Van Hollen just got there.”

Ansari replied: “For me, nothing is more important than due process and the rule of law.”

Arizona Democrats noted that the Supreme Court has ordered the Trump administration to “promote” Abreg Garcia’s return. President Trump and senior officials noted that the order left a swinging room and pointed out to El Salvador the responsibility to return to him, which the country said would not happen.

Ansari believes this is a bipartisan issue, with people in the political field worrying about the meaning of wrongly expelling men. She stressed that the Supreme Court’s conservative majority said Abreg Garcia should be brought back to the United States

Ingraham questioned the due process rights of Abrego Garcia, which Ansari and his fellow Democrats fought for. The two began to talk to each other, and Ingraham noted that it was “annoying for the audience.”

Fox News host later asked Ansari if he cared about the crimes committed by illegal immigrants in the country against U.S. citizens, noting that a Maryland woman allegedly killed by Guatemalan immigrants was dead.

Ansari said, of course, she did, and dismissed Ingraham’s efforts to fight the death of American citizens against Abrego Garcia’s due process rights and the larger situation behind the battle.

“I’m shocked by any violence that has taken place in this country. As a former city official, I have a very strong pro-public safety record, which is why I believe in the rule of law, and that’s why this case is so important.”

Ansari argued that Ingraham tried to convert the topic from a constitutional right to an immigration crime right, saying her problem “distracts the main issue”.

Ansari later said: “The Supreme Court said to return to him, in court, we can discuss what action should be taken.”

“I don’t think he matters to you,” Ingraham interrupted. “I think political stories are important to you.”

Ingraham grabbed it tightly and asked Councilman Abrego Garcia what due process rights were denied. She stressed a point of view from the Trump administration, saying that if Abrego Garcia returns to the United States, he will be deported again.

“You care about the rights of illegal immigrants here,” Ingraham said.
