Australian dad’s amazing 26 kg, locked to find when going home

Forgot to fall the bear, this Australian dad almost had a heart attack, thanks to a monster python with a serious midnight lunch inside… for his rooftop!

Mareeba Local (the ones who play at home near Cairns) locked his house on Tuesday night when he heard the sound in the yard strange.

He thought it was just a rogue possum, and he glanced at it and almost choked with his spit.

“I know we don’t have anorexia, but this is an anaconda! He’s like a dinosaur.” The startled homeowner deleted Jay Everdeen on the phone minutes later via close contact with the reptile on his phone.

The experienced reptile handler quickly set out to find what he thought was the standard call, but when he saw the snake, even if he needed a bex, it needed a good lie.

A huge 5.2m matte python, thicker than your average VB longneck and tilts the scales to 26.4 kg, wrapped in base tubes like green and gold scarves.

“When I saw him, I was like, ‘Oh, hey, that’s big’,” Jay told Yahoo News Australia.

“When I held him, my fingertips didn’t touch!”

With the help of his 12-year-old daughter, Mr. Everdeen fought with non-weakness Python for an entire hour.

“He has a lot of power, which is why it took an hour,” he said.

“You’ll get tangled with a snake like this, and then you get stuck and you won’t get rid of it.”

After a serious battle of wills, they managed to bag the beast, but it was so big that it needed a beach towel to carry it.

The next day, Mr. Everdeen and his children showed their catch to their wide-eyed neighbors and released it back into the bush.

He said: “A good snake is a beautiful snake I see in the wild.”
