AI-related chain activity has grown by 86% since the beginning of 2025, and about 4.5 million unique activity wallets are now recorded.
This growth has brought AI’s market share to 19%, almost matching the dominance of 20% of gaming. It marked a significant shift from the beginning of the year, when AI accounted for only 9% of market activity within the industry.
The momentum for media coverage and funding rounds is still strong.
Investors bet on AI agents
According to the latest report from Dappradar, the AI agent project has received $1.39 billion in funding so far in 2025. The figure is up 9.4% from the previous year. This surge reflects the growing confidence of investors, i.e. autonomous, chain chain agents are developing from experimental concepts into the underlying element of Web3.
While this figure still lags behind capital raised by concentrated AI companies such as Openai and Anthropic, the momentum of funding puts AI agents ahead or on par with large Web3 fields such as blockchain gaming.
If that speed continues, “In 2025, the first year of AI agents may attract more capital than any other Web3 vertical,” Dappradar said. The report added:
“The rise of AI agents shows a deeper shift in the way we interact with decentralized systems. From Defi Traders and Social Companions to Game-Native Assistants, agents quickly become more than just experimental robots, they are developing into infrastructure.”
At the same time, AI proxy tokens also show impressive market traction. The data show that its current total valuation has reached US$5.9 billion, accounting for 0.18% of the entire crypto ecosystem.
The transaction volume is not far, exceeding $1.4 billion in the past 24 hours, which clearly indicates the rise in activity and interest of AI-based tokens.
Global AI DAPP usage mode
Between January and June 2025, the use of AI DAPP is the most prominent in Europe and accounts for more than 26% of the total conference. The number of times in Asia was 21.9%, while North America accounted for 15.8%. South America accounts for only 2.5%, but is showing signs of early growth.
Interestingly, 33% of user sessions fall into the “other” category, which includes traffic from anonymous sources, VPN users, and uncommon tracking areas. This essentially shows that AI DAPP adoption is spreading around the world, often in unclassified areas.
