Illinois Governor JB Pritzker (D) said on Sunday that hundreds of Texas National Guard members traveled to his state and Oregon and marked it as “Trump’s Invasion.”

“Tonight, President Trump ordered the deployment of 400 members of the Texas National Guard to Illinois, Oregon and other locations in the U.S. There is no federal government official to call me directly to discuss or coordinate.”

He added: “We must now start calling it: Trump’s invasion. It began with federal agents and will soon include the deployment of federal members of the Illinois National Guard to our will, and will now involve sending troops from another state.”

In a post in response to Pritzker, Texas, Greg Abbott (R) said he “fully authorized the president to call 400 members of the Texas National Guard to ensure the safety of federal officials.”

“You can provide full protection for federal employees, and you can also keep Texas guards away,” he added. “No guard can be in line with the training, skills and expertise of the Texas National Guard.”

In recent months, Trump has sent the National Guard to several cities, including Los Angeles, Washington, D.C. and Memphis, Tennessee, angering local residents and the Democrats.

Earlier Sunday, Oregon Attorney General Dan Rayfield said he was preparing for legal action against Trump, as a federal judge sent the California National Guard to Beaver State after stopping mobilization of dispatched forces in Portland, Oregon.

“We are quickly evaluating our options and preparing for legal action. We will continue to share the updates,” Rayfield said in a post on social platform X.

California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) said Sunday that the president “deployed 300 California National Guard personnel to Oregon”, adding that the troops were “out there now.”

Newsom added in the X post: “We are returning this battle to court. The public cannot remain silent in the face of this reckless and authoritarian behavior of the US president.”
