President Trump said on Sunday that the peace deal to end the Gaza war is in its “final stage.”

“Everyone is coming together to reach an agreement, but we still have to complete the agreement,” the president said in an interview.

Trump said the peace deal would be “the first opportunity for real peace in the region”, adding: “But we have to finish it first.”

On Friday night, the president touted Israel’s “inspiring and productive discussion” in the Gaza war.

“The intense negotiations have been going on for four days and will continue until necessary to successfully complete the agreement,” Trump said on his truth social platform.

He added: “All countries in the region are involved, Hamas is well aware of the discussions and Israel has been informed at all levels, including Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu.”

“After decades of dealing, there are a lot more deals to be done than I’ve seen before. Everyone is excited to put this death and darkness behind them.”

Israel’s war in Gaza began, which began after a deadly attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, destroying the territory, killing thousands of Palestinians and causing massive destruction of infrastructure.
