Real-time update: Department of Homeland Security, as the Supreme Court, launches Chicago immigration attacks with the White House

President Trump won the challenge of the White House’s immigration attack in Los Angeles on Monday in the Supreme Court, and within hours the Department of Homeland Security announced the launch of “Midway Blitz” enforcement in Chicago.

Chief Justice John Roberts also supported Trump in a case of firing the head of the committee. But the president died in the Court of Appeals, and the panel upheld the advice writer E. Jean Carroll’s $83.3 million defamation award from Trump last year, rejecting Trump’s presidential immunity.

To start the day, Trump talked about the Religious Freedom Commission he formed earlier this year. And, in a post about the Truth Society, he praised the decision of a West Point alumni group to reverse the civilian honor awarded to actor Tom Hanks.

On Capitol Hill, the House plans to conduct an 11-day legislative date before the September 30 government funding deadline. Under the honing situation, leaders on both sides of the aisle showed that they would back down short-term ongoing solutions, as long as they did not include substantial funding cuts.
