A member of the wealthy Smorgon family, and a member of Melbourne’s most qualified bachelor, Amanda Smorgon, has bid farewell to her South Yarra House.

Victorian homes were listed for undisclosed prices after being listed for $5 million to $5.5 million.

Ms. Smorgon is a lawyer, public spokesperson and co-chair of the United Israeli Ministry of Appeals, a charity that focuses on fundraising and charitable programs to support Israel and Jews.

The Smorgon Dynasty, once led by the late industrialist Victor Smorgon, is considered one of Australia’s wealthiest families, with an estimated total wealth of more than $2.7 billion.

In July, an article in the Herald Sun about Melbourne’s most qualified single lady featured Ms. Smorgon, along with former Mastchev judge Melissa Leong, former Bachelorette Australia and journalists Georgia Love and Lawyer Topy Property Developer Developer Zana Pali.

Ms. Smorgon’s four-bedroom home displays a formal dining room with a marble fireplace, as well as an outdoor pool and kitchen with built-in BBQ and banquet seating.

Nicholas Brooks, director of Marshall White Stonnington, declined to comment on the sale price.

But he said the period characteristics and location of the residence attracted a lot of buyers in a quiet Cul-de-Sac, with more than 100 groups inspecting the property during sales activities.

“It attracts a wide variety of buyers, including local families, lifts, descents and interstate buyers from Sydney and Western Australia,” Mr Brooks said.

There are four bedrooms and an upstairs retreat that doubles as a fifth bedroom.

Some of the houses on the residence street are believed to have been houses for workers in South Yarra around 1847.

The historic mansion and garden was originally owned by Supreme Court Justice Sir Edward Eyre Williams and later served as a long-term residence for wealthy herder Charles Army and his family.

In 1959, it was acquired by the Australian National Trust Fund.
