Most people think the Republican tax bill will help the rich and hurt the poor: Investigation

According to a survey released Friday morning, most Americans believe President Trump’s “big and beautiful bill” will be signed into law on July 4, which will help those who are rich and hurt those who are poor.

New Associated Press – The Knook Center for Public Affairs Research found that 64% of U.S. adults surveyed said the Republican-led tax and spending bill would “help more” the wealthy. On the other hand, 7% said there will be more harm to them, while 27% said there will be no difference.

Just over a quarter, 26% said the bill would benefit the middle class. According to the survey, just over half, 51% said it would hurt them, while 22% said it would not make any difference.

Similarly, 24% of respondents believe that the legislation will provide more help to “people like you”, while 51% of respondents believe that it will cause more harm to them. About 23% said the bill would not make any difference.

Only 1-5 means the tax and expenditure laws will help people with low incomes. The survey shows that the majority are 61% say the legislation will cause more harm to these people, while 17% think it won’t make a difference.

Democratic voters are more likely to say legislation will help the rich and hurt the middle class and the poor than Republicans. Polls show Republican voters are more likely to state that “big and beautiful bills” will help rather than hurt the middle class.

When it comes to the impact on low-income Americans, the two sides are divided. About two-quarters of Republicans believe the bill will provide more help to low-income people, and only 3% of Democrats say the same. About 17% of independents believe the legislation will provide more help to help low-income people.

Trump’s massive spending bill will bring new tax breaks to seniors and overtime workers. The legislation includes funds to help hire border patrol personnel and officials. The packaging also cuts green energy tax credits and cuts Medicaid and food assistance programs.

A CNN poll released Wednesday found that 61% of Americans opposed the Republican big plan. Only 11% said they “strongly supported” the bill, and 27% said they “somewhat support”.

A Harvard/Harris poll released Monday found that Americans were split, with 44% saying they support “big and beautiful bills.” Another 44% said they don’t support it. About 12% uncertain.

The poll was conducted by 1,437 adults from July 10 to 14. Its error margin is a plus sign or minus 3.6 percentage points.
