Maurene Comey, daughter of former FBI Director James Comey, who is also a professional federal prosecutor, sent a fiery memo during his job at the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of New York (SDNY), telling colleagues, “Fear is a tool of a tyrant and willing to suppress independent thinking.”

“For the right reasons, there is no need to worry about retribution and not worry about doing the right thing, the right way, and the right way, and not worry about it,” Maurene Comey said in a news on Thursday.

“In my nearly ten years of working at SDNY, fear has never been imaginable. We are not afraid of bad media; we have the luxury of excellent security to ensure our bodies are safe; and we can continue to serve the public in this office as long as we do our job with integrity.”

Comey was fired Wednesday in a position in the U.S. Attorney’s Office, where she worked for nearly a decade.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters at a briefing Thursday that the decision came from the Justice Department.

Comey’s father, James Comey, has a controversial relationship with President Trump. During Trump’s first White House term, he was fired. Trump critic James Comey helped launch an investigation into the link between Trump’s 2016 campaign and the Russian campaign.

Maurene Comey’s dismissal is largely seen as related to his father.

Maurene Comey has committed criminal cases against Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. She is part of a team that filed sexual trafficking charges against Epstein, a shameful financier and convicted sex offender who committed suicide in 2019 while awaiting trial. Comey also joined the team handling the prosecution of Sean Diddy’s comb.

“Our focus is really to perform ‘without’. That is, to make sure that people with opportunities, money and power are treated differently from anyone else;

“If professional prosecutors can be fired for no reason, fear may penetrate the decisions of those who stay. Don’t let that happen. Fear is the tool of a tyrant, willing to suppress independent thinking.” “Not fear, letting this moment push the fire that has burned in the heart of this place. Just anger is the rage of abuse of power. Dedicated to seeking a promise of justice for the victims. Dedication to the truth is the most important thing.”

James Comey has recently been criticized for posting a photo of the shell on the beach, which arranged numbers 86-47, which the president claimed was his call for assassination. Comey called the rebound a “distraction”.
