House Republicans passed President Trump’s “big and beautiful bill” on Thursday, sending it to President Trump’s table. The last vote was 218-214, with two Republicans joining all Democrats to vote on legislation.

Trump is expected to sign the bill on July 4, the deadline for him to bring the parcel to his desk.

But the last paragraph is not easy. Republican leaders conducted hours of public procedural votes in an attempt to get rid of the reservation, with Trump directly involved, while House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (DN.Y.) opposed the measure by giving eight and 44 minutes of floor speech railings. Republican Rep. Thomas Massie (Kentucky) and Brian Fitzpatrick (Pennsylvania) eventually voted against the bill.

Nevertheless, the passing of the bill was a major victory for Trump and Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.).

Elsewhere, Trump will meet with first lady Melania Trump with former Israeli hostage Edan Alexander. He will then fly to Iowa, where he will speak at the state venue.
