A Brisbane financier made $4 million in 12 months to sell his Mediterranean-style luxury homes, a clear sign that the city’s luxury home market is booming.

Lead Partners Private Wealth director Michael Stewart paid $8.7 million for the Graya Buyult property in Langside Rd 20 in Hamilton last year, just settled for $12.5 million to resale.

Last May, commercial property dealer Mike Walsh sold his home in Hamilton Hill last May and attracted the interest of modern existing locals like cryptocurrency kings, tech guru and Stewart.

The property is located at Langside Rd, 20 Hamilton and costs $12.5 million.


Mr. Walsh bought the corner block in 2020 for his older-style residence, buying it for $1.7 million as the property market was initially stunning by Covid uncertainty.

The Brisbane market is buzzing, and news about big sums of trophy residences across the city buzzing. Just last week, Norman Park’s 52 Wendell St won $13 million in Hamilton and 56 Windermere Rd deals.

Mr. Stewart and his wife Natasha are considered buyers of the 2000 m2 Windermere Rd property – swapping “Casa Espri” for larger land in the same suburb.

But it doesn’t have the same Rockstar as the 20 Langside Rd.

Spread across four levels, the Spanish-style residence features a gym, cinema, pool and rooftop entertainment lounge with cocktail bar, Teppanyaki Grill, Teppanyaki Grill, Pizza oven and fireplace.

It is understood that the transaction has been processed and the buyer has not yet made public.

The property’s rooftops have several days of suburban views.


Purdy Developments founder Craig Purdy said luxury homes have been built in Brisbane for three to four years, with a new home in Brisbane selling for no less than $10 million.

Mr Purdy said there is also a strong demand for downtown apartments, the size of a house.

“People accept that lifestyle is more important than their lives,” he said.

“How long does it take to develop a prestige product now.

“The website is so expensive, then you’ve got the construction cost and found the builder. It seems people are ready to pay for it – it’s ironic.”
