3 Stockton Ave, Ferntree Gully - for pioneering Sun Real Estate

3 Stockton Street (Ferntree Gully) is for sale for the first time in nearly three decades.

Andrea and Darrel North are preparing to bid farewell to Ferntree Gully House, who transformed from bankrupt residence to beloved family home.

The couple bought 3 Stockton Avenue when they lived in a unit behind the property about thirty years ago.

After a massive renovation and extension of the home, they are now selling plans to buy smaller places and travel.

Three bidders participated in Saturday’s residence auction, but ended up winning the bid for $1.45 million.

@Realty Principal Luciano Marcuzzi said that in addition to negotiating with a buyer who is awaiting finance, he and his suppliers may also list the home for private sale or set another auction date.

“The house will be suitable for a family with two or three kids who like nature and want to commute to the city or use public transport in the area,” he said.

Darrel and Andrea North bought the house about 30 years ago and have since undergone extensive makeovers.

Their first son Justin bought a house in the north after his birth.

Ms. North said that although the residence was “quite abandoned”, the 1069 square metre block and the potential they saw in the houses in the 1950s and the 1950s won the victory.

“We went, ‘it fits all our needs, and that’s exactly where we live, we love our live,'” she said.

Shortly after moving in, Ms. North discovered that she was pregnant with her future daughter Megan.

Today, the husband and wife live at home with their third child, Cody (22).

Most of their renovation was done by Ms. North’s sister, Narelle, and Chris, the builder, who runs the Frerker home in Lysterfield.

At one point, five-year-old Justin decided to help.

Mr. North said: “I gave him a bucket of water, glittering and brushes.”

“He drew me the dog kennel and front door with the little blue Thomas tank engine jumper and his Jones boots, and he was on the ball.”

Renovate and expand the home from the house before.

Today, this five-bedroom home features three living areas, two bathrooms and a British-made Falcon Double Oven in a kitchen, a room that was renovated two years ago.

An outdoor pool, barbecue boards and mobile shutters on the undercover deck proves the ideal place for Meghan’s 21st birthday.

“I spent a lot of time cooking, you could sit in the yard and have a beer and look at the kids in the pool, it was just a great space,” Mr North said.
