A company led by former Blues Premier League player Fraser Brown cast nine figures at a development site in southeast Melbourne.
Brown Property Group is believed to have purchased 68.77 hectares of Clyde North Land, which has set a new record for Victorian residential development sites, with industry sources bringing the sale price to $250 million.
In the future, more than 1,290 homes can be built at the 200 Tucker Rd address, but it needs to be approved by the City of Casey.

The property was sold by a family who cultivated the area for six generations.
Peter Sagar, senior director of Lawd, a commercial real estate agency that went public with colleague Paul Callanan, said they received offers from more than 20 sites, totaling $4 billion in capital.
Most of the parties interested are big-name developers, including several Chinese developers in Australia.
Mr Sagar declined to comment on the sale price, but said the Perth and Queensland-based developer had flew over to inspect the land parcels and meet with the owners.
Fraser Brown, then Carlton football player, is now a director of Brown Property Group, filmed in 1999. The Browns have developed the land for 40 years.

Lauder senior director Pete Sagar said it was necessary to release more land for affordable housing development in and around Melbourne.
The final sale agreement equals approximately US$4.2 million per hectare of the website’s 60 hectares of developing areas.
“I can’t think of a residential development that has been sold in Victoria for a long time,” Sagar said.
Brown Property Group bought the Cranbourne Golf Club 12 km from the Tuckers Rd website, reportedly $190 million 12 months ago.

Mr. Sagar is also managing the list of Diggers Rest 13-15 Diggers Rest-Coimadai Rd, which is expected to be sold for $90 million.

The Tuckers Rd property is located within the Clyde Creek Regional Structure Plan, which outlines the future developments of the wider area approved by the Victorian government.
Sagar is also managing sales activities in the 36.39-hectare block of Diggers Rest, which is expected to be sold for $90 million to $100 million, according to industry insiders.
A license is obtained to develop a retirement village at this location, namely 13-15 Diggers Rest-Coimadai Rd.
