The apartment occupies two levels of the award-winning Axis building and has its own private yard and swimming pool.
Axis beachfront villa in Main Beach.
There are many windows inside that allow for the entire natural light.
Mrs. Peck and Mr. Denton purchased a three-bedroom apartment seven years ago.
At the time, they were looking for villas, but the property’s garden, swimming pool, house-like design and private entrance sealed the deal.
Ms. Peck said: “When we walked into this, it was so wow.”
“It was a really uplifting feeling to the light pouring in from those double-height windows facing north and space.”
Called “Axis Beach House”, the property features floor-to-ceiling glass overlooking the private garden, with two bedrooms, a written nook and spacious master suite with a private balcony on the upper floor.

Beachfront villas include two levels.
Splashing in the swimming pool.
Downstairs, the lower level is dedicated to entertaining, open lounge, dining area and kitchen seamlessly connect to the perfect landscaping yard.
“The garden is a private sanctuary and we have swim, eat and dance with friends and family,” Ms. Peck said.
“We totally forgot that there was an apartment above us.
“We don’t have a common wall, and because we have so much interior and exterior space, it does feel like we live in the house.”
Initially, the property was the holiday home for Ms. Peck and Mr. Steadman, but it soon became the couple’s primary residence.
Ms. Peck not only completed an award-winning novel and its sequel, but also made a makeover for a part of the house.
Improvements include kitchen renovation, updated bathroom, new oak flooring, painting, curtains and wallpaper.
“But the garden is a big garden,” Ms. Peck said.
“We planted a Tuscan villa that is lush and green all year round with lots of herbs and palms to add to the tropical style, while our vegetable pods (hidden in the utility area) provide fresh vegetables.”
In addition to being a private oasis, the central location of the property is also a raffle card that offers parks, yacht clubs, restaurants, beaches and extensive access.
“We love the main beach, which is a simple and exquisite place,” Ms. Peck said.
“It’s lovely by the river, too.
“We picked up a few folding chairs, fished, brought the fish home, grilled, and enjoyed a glass of wine…happy.”
Houses combine the best aspects of a house and an apartment.
The prized apartment will now be auctioned with Ms. Peck on June 11, noting that it is suitable for a wide variety of people.
“It was a pleasant experience to live here,” she said.
“It’s like living in a two-story house with a large garden with a back surface, but you can lock it and leave it behind anytime, anywhere, and know you have all the security you have in the high rises that you only live in.”
The property is sold through Robbie Graham and Michael Willems of Ray White Main Beach.
