The Democratic campaign department of the House argues that a large bill by President Trump, which passed through the House on Thursday, would allow House Republicans to create the majority in 2026, increasing the cost of working families and benefiting only the wealthiest income.
In a poll, public support for Trump and the Republican agenda is spreading. All public anxiety about DC politicians puts their wealthy friends before everyday life and is subject to the scope of the Democratic Committee’s Broad Campaign Committee (DCCC) for programs that are popular among Americans.
The DCCC wrote that Trump’s “big and beautiful bill” that Republicans voted 215-214 on Thursday morning to enact “the biggest cut in Medicaid and food aid in U.S. history.”
“By passing a desperate, hypocritical attempt to vaccinate yourself from the final vote in support of this terrible bill, vulnerable Republicans complained, wrote letters, and made meaningless resolutions in an attempt to convince voters that they would not cut Medicaid and other important programs. It’s all lies.”
In response, the National Republican Congress Committee (NRCC), a campaign unit for House Republicans, said House Democrats “vote to illegal immigrants by simply voting for taxes, giving us the most obvious contrast in years and giving us a stark exchange.”
“House Republicans are attacking, fighting for working families, increasingly strong borders and more money,” NRCC spokesman Mike Marinella told Hill in an emailed statement.
Comprehensive legislation currently to be adopted by the Senate includes expanding Trump’s 2017 tax cuts, reducing overtime and tips on taxes, while strengthening funding for border security, defense work and deportation.
Under recent job requirements for “solid” adults who do not have dependents, the bill would introduce Medicaid reforms that could result in millions of low-income people losing health insurance. The legislation will also impose penalties on states that cover immigrants without permanent legal status. States will also share the costs of supplemental nutrition assistance programs.
The NRCC encourages House Republicans to “offend” when they publish news about the new legislation and tell members they have a chance to “contrast sharply with House Democrats.”
“The bill can prevent tax increases so that more money can be put into the pockets of every American,” the NRCC said in a memo Thursday. The legislation is to “protect Medicaid by eliminating illegal immigration and eliminating fraud” and “invest billions of dollars to build a wall and ensure border protection.”
House Democrats provide Republican lawmakers with “generational opportunities for crime,” the NRCC wrote.
“Their unanimous vote on ‘a big and beautiful bill’, a landmark package that offers tax relief, government efficiency and border enforcement, making our most obvious contrast for years. This legislation must be a key part of the Republican 2026 strategy,” the NRCC said in a 6-page memo.
In terms of news about Medicaid, the NRCC recommends custodial Republicans stress that the Republicans “defend Medicaid for every American who needs and deserves.”
“This means older people, low-income families, pregnant women and disabled people, not fraudsters, sound adults who refuse to work or illegal immigrants,” the NRCC wrote.
