White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, who gathered in the briefing room on Tuesday faced a series of burning problems on Tuesday.
What is President Trump’s favorite order at McDonald’s? What is the president’s favorite ice cream? Who is his favorite president besides himself?
The White House hosted the children of journalists and staff in the building and put our son and daughter to work. First lady Melania Trump interacts with the children in the Rose Garden, where crafts are being made, and Leavitt has a briefing for the children who have to ask questions about the president.
“How many people have he been fired?” a child asked.
Levitt replied with a smile that one person left the job, but so far the staff are working well.
The press secretary told another questioner that Trump “loves McDonald’s hamburgers and fries.”
When asked what his favorite ice cream was, Levitt told the kids that she saw Trump eat ice cream sundaes with chocolate sauce.
Levitt told a child that he asked the president what superpower would he choose and he hoped to be able to “grab his finger and solve all the problems in our country. But sometimes it takes longer.”
“Who is Donald Trump’s favorite president besides himself?” asked a child.
“I think maybe he’ll say George Washington,” Levitt said.
Leavitt, who gave birth to her first child last summer, was asked what it felt like to balance her job with her new mom. She noted that her children were in the building with their mother.
“It’s a challenge. But having this opportunity and being a mom is also a blessing,” Levitt said. “So you have to learn how to prioritize time.”
