South Australia’s real estate legend has been crowned the best residential salesperson in the United States, and two other South Australians have been inducted into the Hall of Fame, one of which is the first person with a long history – in the most prestigious real estate award in the United States.
Matt Smith of Clemitch Real Estate was named the Residential Salesperson of the Year at the Australian Real Estate Institute’s Excellence Awards, an annual event that recognizes the highest performing individuals and institutions in the country.

The event held this year in the Adelaide Oval in South Australia, South Australia, won seven awards for individuals or institutions in South Australia, while the only two Hall of Fame inclusions in the evening were Harris Real Estate (2022-24) who won the large-scale residential institution of the year for three consecutive years (2022-24), and the same year for Nikki Katz.
In fact, Ms. Katz has now won the award five times.

“This Hall of Fame Award means a lot to me,” Ms. Katz said.
“It is not only a symbol of success, but also a shift in the future of who leads, who innovates and defines Australian business brokerage.”
Reia President Leanne Pilkington said Ms. Katz’s entry into the Reia Hall of Fame was a milestone for the industry.
“Nicky’s success proves the power of challenging routines, and she is now an inspiration for the next generation of leaders in real estate and business, especially women,” she said.

Ms. Pilkington said the game’s talent was the strongest she had seen.
Ms. Pilkington said: “These awards celebrate the best in our careers – those setting benchmarks nationwide.”
“This is a testament to the strength and diversity of the Australian real estate industry.”

Andrea, CEO of the South Australian Real Estate Institute, said the award clearly shows that the industry is moving in the right direction.
“They acknowledge and celebrate everything that is good for the real estate industry,” she said.
“Everyone here last night – all finalists and winners – was a worthy ambassador for the entire profession.”
In terms of auction talent, New Zealand proved to be the defeated country, holding two categories of Australian auction houses in the past two days, both from the land of Changbaiyun.
Mark McGoldrick was crowned the overall champion and Tama Emery won the Novice Championship.

Chief Justice Matt Smith said the talent in the field was excellent and the New Zealanders showed that they were clear leaders in the art of the auction house.
“They set the standards and are very good at their jobs and the numbers are doing very well.
“Beat them – it will be a challenge in the future, but we will certainly be there to do our best.”
