The ready-made home has sold millions of dollars in an unreserved charity auction on Saturday, with the proceeds going to help struggling kids.

The four-bedroom, two-bath property at 43 Amulree St was built by Plantation Homes for a lifetime auction in 2025.

The auction aims to raise funds for Little Miracle, which provides help for the mother’s neonatal intensive care unit and for premature babies.

The auction is an unreserved event that attracted hundreds of people to the newly built property.

Apollo Auction Auction Justin Nickerson hosted the sale and said the unreserved auction is “quite unique” in today’s market.

“We have played a small role in this, but it feels great to make you contribute to a really good cause,” he said.

Coronis Inner South Agent Solomon Michael said nearly 300 people participated in the midday auction, which began with other projects at the event.

“There is a refrigerator from a company called Franke, a sink and a faucet bundle, and a Smeg Toaster and Kettle Bundle,” he said. “That’s an extra $6,000.”

“At one stage, I had to double check that we were still selling kettles and toasters because people were bidding so strong,” Nixon said. “It was great to see people donate so generously.”

The interior is equipped with modern design and there will be 16 registered bidders for the auction.

Some of the crowds at the event were at Justin Nickerson at Apollo Auction House, with Justin Nickerson, Solomon Michael and Karuna Mazzocchi at the event. The event includes providing music, food and facial photos for young attendees.

Mr Nixon said there was an “emotional shift” at the auction, which included food, facial painting and acoustic singing, turning to the main event.

There are 16 registered bidders, about 8-10 of which are actively participating, as the first offer is $1.2 million.

Quotes increased by hundreds of thousands of dollars at one time and then slowed to an increase of $25,000.

Mr Nixon said the winning bidder had been making decisive offers throughout the auction and maintained control of pace as part of his strategy.

“I think the bidders are very strong,” he said. “It puts pressure on others, and it’s a big part of what he’s winning.”

The property ended up selling for $2.45 million, auctioning some kitchen appliances raised $6,000.

Staff celebrating the auction, the house was sold to families living in the area.

The winning bidder won the home for $2.45 million. Overall, Little Miracles raised $2,456,000 for their cause that day.

Mr Michael said the house went to a family living nearby that actually met in person for the first time that day.

“It was a really wonderful day with a real family-friendly atmosphere,” he said. “That’s exactly what we wanted, and that’s exactly who we ended up selling to.”

The new owner of the home will move into a fully equipped property on the 607 m2 block, with a 7-star efficiency rating and modern design.

“(The winner) will celebrate with a bottle of expensive wine to celebrate his new home purchase,” Michael said. “With me.”
