The full extra fee required to secure a young couple’s new home on Saturday is in Cheltenham.
The two-bedroom townhouse in 1A Wallingford ST was launched for $870,000-$920,000 and sold the highest price range for $60,500, when it was sold at the hammer for $980,500.
Ray White Bayside Agent Trevor Bowen said the last three bids for the two bidders were $100, $400 and $50, whose offer won auctions by Andrew and James as well as their dogs Evie and Theo.

“The adorable young couple who bought it also let their parents out of the UK to help them with their family searches,” Bowen said.
“They missed three homes before, so it was lovely for them.
“This house has its own title, it is on the Golden Triangle; close to shops and transportation.”
Bidding for the residence was initially a $900,000 offer received from the winners, followed by 19 more bid rates rose by $50 to $10,000.

Mr. Bowen said the couple quit the auction twice, but after he spoke with them, it cost only $50 to secure the excavation in Cheltenham.
He added that the residence is located in a very desirable area and has produced some huge sales results since the beginning of the year.
“As interest rates fall, there will definitely be more motivation in the air,” he said.
“We saw multiple bidders and we exceeded the reserves (price).
Mr. Bowen said the sellers wanted to upgrade because they had two teenage boys and needed three bedroom residences.
The residence spans two levels, with two bedrooms – including the master bedroom with ensuite, as well as the upstairs den and separate bathroom.
Downstairs, there is a large living room with fireplace, open dining and kitchen area, a powder room and separate laundry.
The kitchen is equipped with stone benchtop, built-in buffet, wine refrigerator and stainless steel appliances.
The residence is also the moment for the train station, Southland Shopping Centre and Cheltenham’s main shopping strips.
